Our Mission

The Virginia Cowboys Association is dedicated to promoting the spirit of cowboy culture. We strive to support local businesses and foster family and community. 


 The Cowboy Code 

An unwritten set of principles and values that guides the behavior of cowboys and cowgirls:

  • Respect the land and animals:  Value the environment and treat the animals with care 
  • Honesty: Be truthful in your words and actions
  • Integrity:  Do what is right, even when no one is watching. 
  • Loyalty:  Dedication to upholding these values
  • Fair Play: Behave in a way that is honest and fair and play according to the rules.  Do not take advantage of people.
  • Good Sportsmanship:  Conduct yourself with fairness, respect and courtesy towards all regardless of competitive pressure.
  • Hospitality: Be friendly and generous towards guests, participants, visitors and strangers.
